The band has practice every Wednesday night at the Feustal-Kurdt American Legion Hall, 80 Herbert Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY beginning at 7:00 PM.
The American Celtic Pipe Band was founded with no barriers to race, sex, or religious background. At the present time, as in the past, we have both male and female members from all walks of life. The band provides instruction to all that are interested. All one needs is the desire to learn the instruments. Practices follow the following schedule:
Students 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Practice Chanters: 7:45 PM – 8:30 PM
Drum Pads: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Bagpipe Tuning: 8:30 PM – 8:45 PM
Full Band Rehearsal: 8:45 PM – END
Marty Rowe is the Pipe Major and the overall leader for the direction of band music. He has assembled a staff of instructors to help develop both new and experienced players.
Scott Gajdos is the primary instructor for the pipe corps. Scott has progressed steadily through the piping ranks and has competed on the world stage With Ballycoan Pipe Band and more recently with NY Metro.
James Keenan is the primary instructor for our student pipers. James has been a member of the band since 2005 and is a successful Grade IV solo competitor. His teaching background serves him (and his students) well as the new instructor for our beginning pipers.
Drumming Instructor – Drum Sgt. Walt Francis is the primary instructor for both student and accomplished snare drummers and the leader of the drum corps. Walt utilizes an extensive network of guest instructors for tenor and bass instruction.
